Kenneth J. Leiser has lived in Missouri for more than 20 years, most of that time in the St. Louis metropolitan area. A native of California, he graduated from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2013 before working for the Missouri Public Defender System. Prior to law school, Ken was a professional journalist, including 16 years as a reporter and columnist at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
As a criminal defense attorney, Ken has represented clients facing loss of liberty for misdemeanors and all classes of felonies. He has successfully argued substantive motions resulting in the dismissal of cases at the trial court level and in October 2018 argued before the Missouri Supreme Court on behalf of a client who was facing revocation of her probation and, with it, potential prison time. Instead, she was discharged from her probation.
